Plan Your Trip
When it comes to traveling for self-care, having a dependable toolkit and a contingency plan for unexpected situations is essential. Time + time again, the platforms + travel partners I rely on have proven themselves to be easy to work with, accessible through an intuitive app, responsive with customer service + generally offer great rates and/or rewards.

book the best hotels
When I’m not booking direct on a hotel website, I choose trip.com — their prices are usually hard to beat especially in Asia Pacific and Europe. Although hotels.com + the Expedia group are better known in North America, trip.com is part of the world’s 3rd largest online travel agency offering great privileges (+ steep discounts) especially for loyal members. Traveling the Americas or just prefer to have alternative options?
fly with peace of mind
When I’m not booking direct on an airline’s website, trip.com is my go-to platform because they provide real-time updates for flights, as if I booked with the airline directly. When my flight was cancelled from Madrid to Hong Kong, trip.com gave me more options for re-routing and getting me on the next flight — and did it faster! — than the airline or the ground staff did at the airport*. get around China
Traveling on China’s high-speed trains is an experience in itself. The system is also very efficient and easy to navigate when you’re set up with the right digital platforms and visas. If you’re up for exploring this country via railway, I’ve found the trip.com app to be very handy for train schedules + have had times booking last minute tickets (within the hour) without any issues.
